Kelly’s own TV show in the works
Singer Kelly Rowland is gearing up for a venture in television.
The Destiny’s Child member recently shot a TV pilot in Miami, Florida for a travel and lifestyle series that she will host called ‘Around The World.’ The show is a hip, modern version of ‘Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.’
The series will feature the 27-year-old, Houston-bred singer showcasing the hottest food, hotel, restaurant and party destinations all over the world.
I hear networks are impressed with the pilot and jumping at the bit to land the show.
Apparently, E! Entertainment, Bravo, Style Network, A&E, VH1 and Oprah Winfrey’s new OWN channel have expressed interest in the series.
‘Around The World’ is being produced by Acclaim Films (Datari Turner/Phil Thornton), who produced TV One’s reality show, ‘I Married A Baller,’ in partnership with actor Brian Hooks’ 4th Quarter Films company. Rowland and Music World Entertainment are producers on the series as well.

The singer, who has released two solo CDs, has had tremendous success with her sophomore opus, ‘Ms. Kelly’ in the U.K.
The set was re-released to retail outlets internationally as, ‘Ms. Kelly: Deluxe Edition,’ and features a cover of the Bobby Womack song ‘Daylight.’
Rowland has become a media darling in the U.K., regularly photographed by the paparazzi there and commonly featured in both the U.K. celebrity weeklies.

Kelly rowland is doing her thang. She wants to be huge here in the states, but the fans here dont accept as well as the fans in the Uk. Kelly’s next album may do really great with the international success she is having. I think this show would be great if it came out like now then she would be able to pay for her own stylist and music and producers even. I think if you pay for your own promotion and team you will do well babe. (ms. KElly). i hope she blows up here as well as in the uk the ladies of the destiny will all be well known. By the way i think if the destiny’s child come out with another CD it shall be named LADIES OF DESTINY.

I hope this means that Kelly is finally ready to take her career into her own hands.I’ve heard her say she wants to do alot of things (write a childrens book,star in her own T.V. show,take on more movie roles) but I wasn’t sure if she was ambitious enough to make her goals and dreams a reality. Kelly is very modest. She’s ALWAYS giving other people credit for what they do. She has always honored the relationship that she has with the Knowles,with her management and with her label. I admire her for that because I don’t feel they’ve done the same for her. However,it seems that now everything Kelly says she’s going to do,she’s doing. A book in the works,a T.V. show pilot,her THIRD studio album (three times a charm). I hope it all comes into fruition. The only other thing I really want from Kelly is A TOUR. A WORLDWIDE tour;the states as well as over seas;AND,a tour DVD. I wish her the best and pray that she will always remain genuinely humble and sweet.
