HEN Kelly Rowland co-wrote Work, her recent top-10 hit single, there was one person she had to consult over the racy lyrical content - her mum.

“If I was going to be singing, Put it in and Do it, baby, I needed to make sure my mama was happy.

“Part of me was thinking, I don’t wanna talk about that stuff,” she says mock-tearfully.

“I asked her if she thought it was too much. She said to me, ‘Girl, you’re past 21, you can sing about whatever you want. If I says it’s fine, it’s fine.’

According to a polish article, Kelly will be performing with Wyclef Jean at the Warsaw Street Festival on September 6 in Warsaw, Poland.

Singer Kelly Rowland is gearing up for a venture in television.

The Destiny’s Child member recently shot a TV pilot in Miami, Florida for a travel and lifestyle series that she will host called ‘Around The World.’ The show is a hip, modern version of ‘Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.’

The series will feature the 27-year-old, Houston-bred singer showcasing the hottest food, hotel, restaurant and party destinations all over the world.

I hear networks are impressed with the pilot and jumping at the bit to land the show.

Apparently, E! Entertainment, Bravo, Style Network, A&E, VH1 and Oprah Winfrey’s new OWN channel have expressed interest in the series.

‘Around The World’ is being produced by Acclaim Films (Datari Turner/Phil Thornton), who produced TV One’s reality show, ‘I Married A Baller,’ in partnership with actor Brian Hooks’ 4th Quarter Films company. Rowland and Music World Entertainment are producers on the series as well.

Kelly RowlandIn other Rowland news, I hear ‘The Seat Filler’ star is on the market for a residence in London because of her increased demand in the United Kingdom.

The singer, who has released two solo CDs, has had tremendous success with her sophomore opus, ‘Ms. Kelly’ in the U.K.

The set was re-released to retail outlets internationally as, ‘Ms. Kelly: Deluxe Edition,’ and features a cover of the Bobby Womack song ‘Daylight.’

Rowland has become a media darling in the U.K., regularly photographed by the paparazzi there and commonly featured in both the U.K. celebrity weeklies.

LAUNCHING VERY SOON

Kelly Rowland, Ne-Yo and Dirty Pretty Things have been added to the lineup for this year’s T4 On The Beach.

The annual pop extravaganza will also witness a performance from supermodel Agyness Deyn, who is to appear on stage alongside indie band 5 O’Clock Heroes.

The Zutons, Black Kids and One Night Only have also been added to the bill, as announced on T4 over the weekend.

Performances from many other acts, including McFly, Duffy and Ting Tings, were confirmed in previous weeks.

T4 On The Beach - to be broadcast live on Channel 4 - takes place in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset on July 20.

Kanye West will headline a concert in Los Angeles following the grand finale of the 25-city Nike+Human Race, the world’s biggest one-day running event taking place on Aug. 31.       

       “This race is bringing together hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world to run and listen to some great music while serving a higher cause, and I’m excited to perform in L.A. as part of the grand finale,” West said in a statement.       

        Participants in this unprecedented event will experience an exclusive music performance by some of today’s top artists in each of the 25 designated race cities. Runners in Los Angeles will take to the streets passing the city’s most famous landmarks before ending at the LA Coliseum to see West take the stage. Kelly Rowland will perform in Paris, while Moby will rock London’s Wembley Stadium.       

       West’s performance will bring to a close, a day of 10K races and activities around the globe starting in Taipei, ending in LA and including cities across Europe, Asia and North and South America.
